Dog Beach and Bath

Yesterday we took the boys to Downs Park. Wally had a great time playing fetch with daddy in the water. Bean stayed on the shore with mommy. Best of all we got to see Wally's former foster mom. We are so grateful that she rescued him, Wally has definitely enriched our lives.

Today we took Wally to a self serv dog wash. I wanted to use a pressure wash instead of a regular garden hose to get off all of the swimming debris. Bean was happy supervising and sniffing the treats that the store had for sale.

To Hot for Bean

Poor Bean. The heat and humidity we're to much for him. Dh and I took the boys out for a short walk in the afternoon. About a quarter mile from home Bean found a spot with lots of brush low to the ground. He lay down on the ground using the brush as a canopy-looked like a make shift cave. Dh stayed with Bean while I walked Wally back to the house. Our son then went out with some water for Bean. Dh poured the water on Bean and let him rest for a while. I'm so thankful that Bean is ok now and not suffering from his heat exhaustion.

4th of July - Bean and Wally don't celebrate

Happy 4th of July everyone. Poor Wally and Bean we're spooked by the sounds of fireworks. Some kids we're setting off some and the noise sounded like gun shots. Wally got so upset that he started pacing and howling. It's very rare for Wally to howl.
