Insistant Wally

Wally knows when his daddy is getting ready to run. As soon as Daddy puts on the running outfit Wally starts to get very excited. I have to chuckle at dh because he makes plans to go running by himself without the boys. The plans never work because Wally is so insistent about going along. Wally is a master at manipulating his Daddy into feeling guilty. Daddy always caves and takes the boys along, if it's really hot just for a very short run.

Dog Walker

Today the boys and I met a guy with a very nervous lab. For some reason he thought that I was a dog walker. I told him no, that they are my boys. I wonder if some how the guy thought that I wasn't interacting with the boys like a doggy mommy and seemed like a stranger.

The boys have been averaging 6 mile runs with their daddy. Bean than gets dropped off and Wally gets to run further. Poor Bean has a bum hip that we don't want to aggravate by putting to much stress on his joint.

I also need to bug hubby for some more pictures of my boys.

Poison Ivy Again-Ughhh

Once again I have Poison Ivy from the dogs. The summer before last I had a bad case of P.I. and followed the vet's advice: wiping the boys down with baby wipes after their walks. So far the baby wipe trick has worked. I suspect that my son or hubby took the dogs through the brush and didn't wipe them down.

So far every time I get P.I I have to take steroids, else the rash can take months to clear. I'm trying a soap called Tecnu. I have heard wonderful things by various sources about this soap so will try it for a week. If it doesn't work than it's off to the doctor-arghhhh.

Neighbor thinks I'm nuts

My neighbor doesn't know that I work with dogs. I was talking to her briefly on my way to the car. After chatting for a while I told her that I needed to get to work and that my son was dropping me off. She looked at me like I was nuts. I realized why on my way to work: I had on tattered jeans and an old tee shirt. I bet she's wondering what I do for a living lol.

Wally's Sofa

Wally rubs his scent on his sofa.

Dh says that Wally's usual morning routine is to eat, than run in and mark his sofa. Wally also marks his sofa when he feels like it is needed. Thank goodness for slip covers that can be easily washed.
